merchant where, after a number of years in catering management positions, he became an area manager and later a general manager of a 100 bedroom prestigious 4* conference centre. after sixteen years with sodexho, simon moved to avenance as divisional managing director of the newly formed education division which simon doubled in size in less than two years. chris comes to iscc from elior uk where he was employed as the company group executive chef, leading a team of development chefs with the responsibility for the development and maintenance of culinary standards within the entire £250m turnover elior uk group; which includes avenance. on leaving westminster college, chris started his culinary career at the ritz casino before taking a position at the luxury chateau tilque in normandy. on return to the uk, chris remained in the top end restaurant sector and in 1993 joined the compass group as a director’s chef at their headquarters in queens wharf. chris’s career quickly flourished to launching and managing compass’s most prestigious roux fine dining restaurant whilst also working in la gavroche. chris set up his own successful coffee bar business in 1998 with a string of high street outlets in and around surrey turning over in excess of £1 million. chris returned to his passion of cooking as executive chef with compass at both the sir john cass business school in london and latterly sevenoaks school in kent. in 2005 chris won the prestigious compass group uk ‘senior chef of the year’ award. sue is the latest addition to the iscc team joining in 2015. sue has worked for many years in senior operational roles for holroydhowe and previously caterlink where she worked alongside lizzie and steve. sue has over 15 years of operational experience directly within the independent school catering sector. having attained a distinction in catering management at university, sue began her catering career with house of fraser but soon moved into the contract catering world. in 1999 sue joined caterlink where she worked for many years, initially as the catering manager at alleyn’s school in dulwich followed by a senior operations manager role with holroydhowe co-ordinated the catering offering at a large portfolio of independent schools. more latterly sue has been a project manager with holroydhowe looking after the catering at eastbourne college. sue has considerable experience of the independent school market and this in turn has given her a wealth of knowledge in a range of disciplines including hr, training and financial management as well as the ability to completely relaunch a catering offer. janet joins iscc as a senior consultant with the specific focus on our cleaning and housekeeping business. janet has been working in the soft services sector for the last 19 last years with sodexo as their national cleaning and housekeeping manager, having previously been an account manager and cleaning sales development manager. janet the northwest and latterly scotland. he managed a team of 5 area managers. jenny has 15 years senior management experience in the education catering sector. this includes operational management of
